Does the nominee have to be a member of CastleTV.net?
Absolutely not! We welcome nominations from all Castle fans, they don’t have to be in any way associated with CastleTV.net
What if I don’t know the email address of the person I wish to nominate?
If you don’t have or can’t get an email address for the person you wish to nominate please provide us with an alternate method of communicating with them, eg their personal page on fanfiction.net or youtube.
When do nominations Close?
Nominations close at 11:59pm Eastern USA Time on Monday June 27, 2011.
How will the nominees be chosen?
We have a team of 7 judges from a variety of ages and backgrounds, some who are regular contributors at CastleTV.net and some who are not. The judges will work together to determine which submissions will go through to the finalists. 4 or 5 submissions will be chosen for each category. Finalists will be announced July 4, 2011.
What happens if there aren’t enough nominations in a particular category?
If there are less than 4 eligible nominations in a category that category will be either eliminated completely or combined with another appropriate category.
In the case of the special award categories for Fanfic (A7) and Videos (E6) the trophy for these categories will be awarded at the judges’ discretion as an overall “Judges Choice Award” for Fanfic or Video.
What if I don’t want my work to be nominated?
Before announcing the finalists, our judges will contact each proposed finalist and offer them an opt-out. If we don’t hear back we will assume nominees don’t object to their work being nominated.
How will the winners be chosen?
Each category will be open for public vote (starting July 4, 2011) and the entry with the most votes will win the public vote.
A winner from each category will also be chosen by our judges.
Will you be running the awards again in the future?
Yes, we’ve had a great response this year and hope to run the awards at least once a year.
